All photos on our website were taken by us. Many of the travel photos are "drive-by shootings" ...from the back seat of the motorcycle at highway speeds.
**All prices will vary according to the amount of customization & personalization.**
** Our products are one of a kind, built by one craftsman, one at a time. **
You can "track" us when we are traveling by visiting our "SPOT" tracker site here:
We have done 3 successfully documented and IBA Certified "SaddleSore 1000™" rides
(1000 miles in 24 hours or less), and 3 that were not certified -- we will re-attempt 1 of those this summer!
We also completed our first (and probably not last...) Iron Butt Association certified "BunBurner 1500™" ride
(according to the IBA rules: 1500 miles in 36 hours or less) in September 2014.
~~And just think... This is what we do for fun!~~
Mark & Jamie Heggem
Certified "Iron Butt™" Rides
Mark (aka "Festus") has been designing and building creations from wood and/or leather for over 40 years. He has spent 30+ years working as both a general contractor in remodeling and adding on to homes; and as a builder / remodeler (carpentry, custom tile, sheetrock, paint, sound, etc.) in the theater construction industry. (He can probably tell you exactly how many lights are on the floors and how many seats and bolts and custom tiles there are in any of the theaters he helped build -- and can definitely tell you the very best seat in the house for the best sound experience.)
Designing and creating leather and woodcrafts have been hobbies for most of his life, and Mark puts an artist's eye--and a very demanding perfectionist touch--to everything he makes. That artistic perfection is why each project takes a little longer than some mass production item would take. (LinkedIn profile: Mark Heggem) If you are interested in some of the small items, we now have an "Etsy" store, too: JMHLimitedEditions.
Jamie mostly just watches and encourages, but she has a hand in helping with some of the building process -- like holding things still, staining or sanding large wood projects, stitching small leather projects, and so on. She likes to add input for new ideas, design changes, "you missed a spot," and marketing options. Her main focus is building and maintaining this website and our Facebook page -- JMH Limited Editions. (She also does most of the "drive-by shootings" -- a.k.a. photography of our travels from the back seat of the Harley at highway speeds.) NEW: You can now get JMH Limited Editions logo products in our cafepress.com "shop!"
When we are not working at "normal" jobs or creating things in the wood shop, we love to travel. We have ridden over 120,000 motorcycle miles during the last 8+ years. Those miles have included journeys into 14 US States and 5 Canadian Provinces. To keep our travels economical, we usually camp at night when we are on long trips. We pull a compact cargo trailer behind the motorcycle to carry our tent and other camping gear.
Thanks for visiting our site. We hope you will find something here you like! Maybe we'll see you down the road some day!
